Hello. Welcome to Lauren Crump's Portfolio.

This portfolio is dedicated to illustration and storyboarding, my chosen field which combines drawing and animation together into a wonderful story telling tool.
I am a 2012 graduate of Cal State Fullerton, with a BFA in Illustration and a BA in Animation. I hope to attain a position in the entertainment field as a illustration or storyboard artist, production assistant, or animator. I look forward to working within a company and learning from the people who work their while contributing my own skills.

Any miscellaneous or other media artwork is on a different blog. If you are interested and a little curious about what I like to do on the side, you can view my work at;

If you would like to contact me or ask me any questions, just look at the information on my profile.

Please enjoy my portfolio!

STORYBOARD

Hostess and Undertaker

This was a short seminar exercise that I expanded into a more complete story.

This is a link to a animatic storyboard I did for a freelance job a short time ago. It has sound effects and voices the director and I provided. Here the villainous is trapped in a glass prison and about to escape.

Eternal Sunshine
In Spring 2013, I had the opportunity to take Advanced Cinematic Storyboard class with Jay Oliva. one of the assignments was to draw out a storyboard to a short bit from the movie "eternal Sunshine". It was directed to practice drawing interactions between characters. This rEEl is a rough edit of the finished version that will be coming soon.

Bathtime

My 2012 senior short animated film about a boy that has to give his 'pet' a bath.

Little Hunter Part 1

This is a independent project I worked on for the last month. It's a 2 part mini movie about a little alien girl going out on her first hunt.

Little Hunter Part 2

The Wahallas

A short, funny story about a caveman trying to find a meal to please his not-so easy pleased wife.

Fairy Odd Parents

This was an assignment for my last semester of college. It is a storyboard test of Nickelodeons 'Fairy Odd Parents', where the villain Mr. Crocker tries to capture a picture of Timmy's Fairy God Parents.

ILLUSTRATIONS

These following character sheets and backgrounds are from my internship with Sedona Studios. I worked closely with the lead artist, Richard Chidlaw, to help him develop the characters. I mainly did vectoring and coloring for the characters.
This story takes place in the swamps of Louisiana, and most of the events center around the jazz club and diner. Many types of animals play a part in this story; a few shown here.

Here is also some music label logos I did for commission for the Studio. The 'New Generasian' logo  (built in After Effects) was for a production company.
